In the biggest outpouring of grief since the untimely death of Diana Queen of Hearts, the small Yorkshire town of Skipton has declared a day of official mourning for the death of Australia's Bill Oddy.

Steve Irwins murderer goes free!

Sunday the 10th of September has been declared a day of mourning in Skipton, flags will fly at half mast and the Bizzy Lizzy fish'n'chip monopoly will not be serving battered stingray.

There will be a parade of tractors and farm livestock on the high street followed by exhibitions of animal husbandry and clog dancing. Later in the evening there will be a candlelit procession starting at All Saints church and terminating at the Royal Oak where the Skipton folk society will perform a version of candle in the wind honouring the untimely and totally unexpected death of this heroic man.

A strict dress code of sack cloth and ashes will be observed!
