Many of you already know, but I will be producing a "Crime Scene" issue of Sunday Journal on Sunday May 4th. Anyone (And I do mean anyone) who wishes to contribute should write a short fictional story of a maximum of 2,500 words. Please do your best not to clone CSI episodes. A crime scene can take on many forms and many faces. It would look different to the criminal. And what defines a "crime" anyway? Further to that, what is a crime scene before it's a crime scene? Is it a black and white concept? Is a crime scene still a crime scene once the crime is solved. How would it feel to go back to the scene of a crime? Is there any such thing as a victimless crime? Could it be something as minor as a place where copyright is infringed, or litter is dropped from a moving car? Anyway. Hope that's got you thinking. I know about four of you have said that you fancy having a go at this one. It will be great if we build on that number. Email your entries to me on (or before) Saturday 3rd May 2008 please. You'll find a link to my email address in the "contact" section if you don't have it.
Let me say again - this invitation is open to you. You don't have to be a regular ArkSanctum contributor to take part. Just do it for the enjoyment of sharing your ideas. |
