I fear no more the caustic whit and acid tongue,
Or shameful way he'd raise his hand to strike.
Nor look into his hate filled eyes with shame,
As life anew released this dove to flight.
I soar the skies in freedom cry "rejoice",
My soul's release my heart renewed and light.
No longer will I live by others choice,
Nor fear the demons stalking through the night.
But preach I will to those repressed and sworn,
That life is more rewarding than that fate.
Be brave and turn your back against the storm,
There is a choice that's yours and yours to make
