A poem about information

We’re safe now. Did you know?
Where once we doubted
And frowning, pondered hidden killers
Slipping past the warning wires,
We see that’s just what once there was.
Like bad wide ties and groping bosses,
We’ve outgrown those dark brown days.
Tired old fears now just emotive.
Sense obscured by corduroy heratics
Without recourse to mathematics.
See the smoke gathering, citizen.
Consider the plight of melting polar bears.
It’s the only way to keep the sodium fires burning.
And safe now.
They say.
